The Story of The Shunammite Woman
A Great Woman

Precepts of The Shunammite
Expansion, Elevation and Grace for Execution

Identity Audit Worksheet The Identity Audit is a 4-part teaching series designed to help you identify what you really believe—and how those beliefs are shaping your everyday life.
Most people try to change by working harder. But lasting change usually starts somewhere deeper: in the beliefs you’ve accepted as “truth.” Those beliefs influence your thoughts. Your thoughts shape your emotions. Your emotions drive your choices. Over time, your choices become your patterns.
This series walks you through four “rooms” of the soul so you can name the belief, trace the pattern, and replace the lie with Truth.
Series Roadmap (4 Parts)
Part 1: Build the Room — Make Space for the Prophetic
This session is about what you’re “hosting.” The Shunammite woman didn’t just accept her circumstances—she created space for the prophetic. We begin by identifying what has been living rent-free in your mind and home: fear, performance, control, chaos, or truth.
Part 2: The Divine Connection — Are You Loved… or Just Managed?
Many people don’t have a relationship with God; they have a relationship with their concept of God. In this session, we confront the “religious shadow” and rebuild a clear, biblical God-image that produces trust, rest, and sonship—not anxiety and striving.
Part 3: Identity — Stop Introducing Yourself With Your Wound
This session addresses labels, internal scripts, and the stories you’ve been repeating. You’ll learn how to retire toxic identity statements and replace them with who God says you are—so your life stops orbiting around your pain.
Part 4: The Root System — Your Defense Mechanism Had a Job. It’s Fired Now.
Your defense mechanisms were once survival strategies. But what protected you at eight can sabotage you at thirty-eight. In this session, we map triggers and patterns, identify the belief underneath, and practice a new response aligned with Truth.
The Framework We’ll Use Throughout: Beliefs → Thoughts → Feelings → Choices

Room 1 is where we start—not with your circumstances, but with what you’ve been hosting.
The Shunammite woman didn’t wait for life to get easier before she honored God’s purpose. She created space for the prophetic first. She built the room before she had proof. That pattern matters, because what you make room for will eventually shape what you experience.
A lot of people are asking for a new season while still entertaining old beliefs. And those beliefs act like invisible architects. They build your expectations, your reactions, your relationships, and your outcomes.
Room 1 asks one direct question:
What have you made space for?
Here are a few common “guests” that quietly move in:
• Performance to earn love
• Control as safety
• Chaos as normal
• Fear of being seen
• Isolation as protection
• Numbing as coping
• Unforgiveness that keeps you stuck
The goal of this session isn’t shame. It’s clarity. You can’t evict what you refuse to name.
What You’ll Do in Room 1
• Identify the belief you’ve been living from (in plain language)
• Trace how it’s been shaping your thoughts, feelings, and choices
• Build a simple “room plan” to make space for Truth—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
• Choose one proof action for the next 24 hours that matches the Truth you’re embracing

Room 2 confronts a quiet but powerful issue: many people don’t relate to God as He is. They relate to a “shadow version” of Him formed through pain, religion, disappointment, or fear.
When your God-image is distorted, your entire inner world will struggle to stabilize—because identity can’t stand firm when the source feels unsafe.
This session asks a direct question:
Do you live as someone who is loved… or as someone who must be managed?
When a person believes God is primarily displeased, distant, or waiting on them to fail, they tend to live in a state of striving. That striving often looks like spiritual discipline on the outside, but it produces anxiety, exhaustion, and self-protection on the inside.
In Room 2, we name what I call “Orphan Management”—the survival posture that shows up when you don’t feel secure in relationship.
Common signs of Orphan Management
• Overworking to feel worthy
• Overexplaining to avoid rejection
• Controlling outcomes to feel safe
• Avoiding vulnerability and help
• Assuming the worst before it happens
• Numbing instead of naming what you feel
This session is about rebuilding a biblical God-image so you can move from striving to sonship—from fear-driven performance to trust-filled obedience.

Room 3 is where we address the names you answer to.
Many people don’t introduce themselves with their gifts. They introduce themselves with their survival story—what happened, what hurt, what failed, what was missing. Over time, pain becomes a lens, and the lens becomes an identity.
But your past can explain you. It was never authorized to define you.
This session focuses on a truth that changes everything:
Self-talk is the audio version of self-belief.
If you believe you are unlovable, you’ll interpret everything through that filter.
If you believe you have to prove your worth, you’ll overperform and resent it.
If you believe people always leave, you’ll detach first and call it wisdom.
Room 3 helps you identify and retire false labels—then replace them with Truth so your behavior can rise to meet a healed identity.
What you’ll do in Room 3
• Identify the labels, scripts, and internal narratives you’ve been repeating
• Separate what happened to you from who you are
• Replace toxic identity statements with Truth-based identity
• Translate identity into action (how you show up in relationships, money, calling, health, and boundaries)

Room 4 is where we go beneath the surface.
Many of your “reactions” aren’t random. They are rooted. And often, they began as strategies that protected you in an earlier season.
That’s why this session is built around one sobering truth:
What protected you at eight can sabotage you at thirty-eight.
Over time, survival strategies can start to masquerade as personality:
• Over-performing
• People-pleasing
• Controlling
• Withdrawing
• Numbing
• Hyper-independence
• Choosing emotionally unavailable relationships
Room 4 helps you map the pattern, locate the belief underneath it, and begin practicing a new response aligned with Truth.
What you’ll do in Room 4
• Identify triggers and recurring reactions
• Discover what the reaction is protecting you from feeling
• Expose the belief that makes the pattern “make sense”
• Replace the belief with Truth (Scripture + a clear statement)
• Practice one new choice that matches the healed version of you
